The cottage is surrounded by trees and green fields, allowing you to truly enjoy and unwind in its country setting. If you do need assistance during your stay, or have questions about the area, we are happy to assist you. The cottage is located in a small rural town with a home-town feel. We have a few local restaurants, some great antique shopping, and are easily accessed from Interstate 24. Opportunities for hiking, biking, canoeing, hunting and fishing abound. The cottage serves as the guest house on the 7-acre grounds of our private residence. It affords guest complete privacy with its own separate yard, patio, and parking. It's a great place to relax in a quiet, secluded setting. We are also conveniently located near the Tunnel Hill State Bike Trail, Shawnee National Forest, and the Southern Illinois Wine Trail. We are less than 30 minutes to Paducah, Ky (to the south) and Marion, Illinois (to the north). The cottage is a non-smoking facility, but smoking is allowed outside. Well-behaved dogs are also welcome. (Pet fee $50.)

When you book your stay at MoJo Valley, you are guaranteed an enjoyable stay. Each reservation comes with one dozen farm fresh eggs from hens found on the property. The home comes with a queen bed and a sleeper sofa, as well as a full kitchen and bath. The home will be furnished with basic pantry items, a half gallon of milk, and orange juice. The nearest grocery store is approximately 15 minutes away and the nearest winery is just over a mile. This home is located on our 21-acre, wooded property and our home is a short walk away (400 ft). While it is not visible due to the woods, we are available if needed. When you arrive, you will be given keys to the property and we will not bother you unless our assistance is needed. The cottage does not come with wifi or a television. The home is located less than a mile-and-a-half from Blue Sky Winery and less than five miles from Owl Creek Vineyard. The Shawnee Hills Wine Trail is located just half-a-mile from the home.

'Beau's Country Heaven' is a three-story home surrounded by wonderful wrap around decks. Incredible sunset views (you will think that you are at the beach). Located only three miles off Interstate-24. We are a few minutes north of Metropolis, Illinois and Paducah, Kentucky. We are just south of Carbondale and Marion, Illinois. Check out all of the photos! The rolling country hill views are amazing. Enjoy coffee on one of the decks and watch the sun rise and set. We are a short distance from numerous recreational locations. That would include Mermet Lake, Kentucky Lake, Lake Barkley, Land Between the Lakes, Shawnee National Forest, Rend Lake, Dixon Springs State Park, Fort Massac State Park, Crab Orchard Lake, the Ohio and Mississippi Rivers, Ferne Clyffe, and too many more to mention. The home has three levels (note the stairs) with a queen size bed on the first floor, king size bed on the second floor, and a queen size bed on the third level. We are two large sectional couches, as well (I have slept on them a few times and they are also comfortable). There is a lot of room for blow up mattresses, as well. We have one king size blow up mattress that can be used on the third floor (or elsewhere). The first floor bathroom has a shower and a bath. The second floor bathroom has a large walk in shower and a bath. The third floor bathroom has a sink and comode only. Amenities include a propane grill, full kitchen, free Wi-Fi, satellite TV, complimentary Netflix on the main room smart tv, central heat A/C, electric fireplace, board games, an X-box system on the third floor, large screen television on the third floor, television sets in all bedrooms, a jukebox, an arcade game, setting areas and tables on all the decks, plenty of parking (no garage, sorry), iron and ironing board, washer and drier, refrigerator, microwave, oven, stove, clothes line, and more. Enjoy all the entertainment and action in Metropolis, Paducah, Carbondale, Marion, and other locations near us. The kids will enjoy Venture River that is located across the Ohio River in western Kentucky. One of the largest water parks in our local area. We are minutes from the Paducah, Kentucky quilt show, Fort Massac Encampment, the Superman Celebration, Championship Archery Tournaments at Mermet Lake, Pope County Deer Festival, the Paducah, Kentucky BBQ festival, Purple Toad Winery located across the river in Paducah, Kentucky, and more. Take scenic country drives and enjoy the country fresh air. You won't forget the incredible country sky and land views. 1 -Do note the stairs in the photos. This is a three-floor country home. 2- We live in the country. We have numerous deer (we once counted 42 in one of the back fields), raccoons, fox, rabbits, coyotes, possums, and other critters. Do not leave food or any trash outside. During the summer months, you will enjoy the hundreds of fireflies the glitter in the night sky. An occasional owl will also visit the property. 3- Our driveway is fairly long. If heavy snow or ice develops then be mindful of the drive. Smoking is allowed outside but no smoking in the house.
